Conversation channels

Rake users create channels to host topic focused conversations with multiple people. Channels can be private and available to join by invitation only. They can be public and available to any user of the workspace. Rake channels can be universal and include invited people using different messaging applications.
Each channel is usually dedicated to a specific topic, department, or project. Channels are where ideas, text, files, documents, and images are easily shared, searched, referenced, and ultimately put into context to accomplish big (and small) things.
A channel is a group of people with the collective goal to accomplish something. Sometimes it’s the whole organization, or, sometimes it's a much smaller focused group.
Each channel is dedicated to a specific topic, department, or project.
Channels are where the work actually gets done—where text, files, documents, and images are easily shared, searched, referenced, and ultimately put into context to accomplish big (and small) things.

Direct messages

Create a private message with a teammate, or invite multiple teammates to a private conversation.  This DM is likely a collection of unrelated messages that help two or more people remain connected and coordinated. They share files, images, documents and more in their private message stream.
As with all conversation types in Rake, all of the functionality is available in the Rake mobile app and desktop experience.
