Why you should use this zap

This zap is great for keeping people in the loop on messages when they may not be using Rake for business messaging or have begun their transition to Rake.
If your team maintains Rake channels for vendors, this zap is great for keeping them in the know about your needs and thoughts.

How to use this zap

Click here to begin building the Rake to Gmail zap. Begin by choosing 'Rake' as your trigger app and then pick your trigger which is 'New Message Into Selected Channel'. Choose your account. This is when you will make sure you're logged into Rake. Next, you will set up your trigger by selecting your Rake workspace name and then the channel where the message must be posted. This channel can be public or private. Your last option is to decide if you want to limit who must post the message to the Rake channel. You then can test your trigger. Zapier will confirm everything is properly connected and ready to work as designed. On to adding the action.
First, choose your Gmail account and then set up the action. You will choose who receives the email, who is carbon copied and blind carbon copied. You will choose who the email is sent to and the details of the message to be included in the email. You will then move on to testing the zap. Zapier will find a recent message and use it as a sample and will then send the email, so be sure you're prepared for the results.
We have built this Zap and use it at Rake.

More about Rake and Zapier

Rake connects with thousands of apps, with the help of Zapier, to help you remove the need for people to waste time on repetitive tasks that usually include data entry or confirmation calls and emails. Triggers are what get a zap started and Rake includes several different trigger options. The Rake Zapier trigger options include new messages in specific channels, task creation, customer creation, tag added to a conversation, and inbound chats from a Rake chat widget, Facebook Messenger, SMS and more. After, an application like Slack, Shopify, Hubspot, Gmail, or Facebook triggers Zapier, Rake can respond with actions that include task creation, external message send, message to a selected channel, add a customer and a Rake workspace invitation.
